Saskatchewan Virtual Visit has been evaluated and approved by the SMA and health system partners for video and phone assessments. 

This virtual care tool is being provided at no cost to all Saskatchewan physicians beginning in September 2022.  The Saskatchewan Virtual Visit Platform replaces the former no cost tool, Pexip. The SMA EMR Program and eHealth are also providing full support with licenses, account creation, deployment and training. While many alternative virtual care software platforms are available and may be used, the associated costs, as well ensuring the platform is secure, will be the responsibility of the physician.

Physicians interested in Saskatchewan Virtual Visit are asked to send their name, email address, clinic name and phone number to emr@sma.sk.ca.

The physician will recieve an email from the SMA EMR Program to schedule a call to discuss the clinic training needs and workflows. 

If physicians choose an alternate platform instead of Saskatchewan Virtual Visit, care must be taken to ensure that the platform meets all privacy and other legal requirements.
